RBC FESTIVAL of CLASSICS PRESENTS
The MASKED BARD'S BALL

On April 1 st 2005, the RBC Festival of Classics celebrated the launch of their 10 th Anniversary Season with the first annual Masked Bard's Ball. It was indeed, an event non-pareil. Over 250 guests embraced elegantly, the spirit of the evening, and most arrived exquisitely garbed, many in extravagantly ornate costumes reflecting their favourite Shakespearian characters.

The "haute" Medieval fare was equally inspired too. Carmen's at the Oakville Conference Centre displayed a magnificent repast of rare and exotic foods with splendid élan. The Oakville Suzuki Flute Orchestra, members of the Zero Gravity Contortionists, Jugglers and Loren the Illusionist entertained the guests while they grazed and bid on unusual and rare pieces of nostalgia, collectible literature, theatre and classic film-related silent & live auction items.

All, to preface an eagerly anticipated performance by celebrated Stratford Festival stars Seana McKenna & Graham Abbey. They masterfully engaged a delighted crowd with beautiful duets and witty repartee from the pages of the Immortal Bard.

The distinguished guests lingered well into the wee hours, relishing the newly planted memory of an unforgettable and uniquely fabulous evening.

Henceforth, a toast - to this spectacular Gala that most had never seen the likes of before, and yet are hoping to receive a now coveted invitation to the future Bard's Ball - again, and again.
